Thanksgiving Service at St Paul’s Cathedral

Published

Our eight House Captains proudly represented St Clement Danes School at a very special service at St Paul’s Cathedral last Friday. The service of thanksgiving was led by the Bishop of London, in his role as President of the London Diocesan Board for Schools (LDBS). Around 1,500 people attended the service, representing over 150 of the London Diocesan schools.

Walking back to school, we couldn’t resist the opportunity to stop and take this photo of our Twining House Captains outside the original Twining tea shop! The shop was opened at the same time as our school over 300 years ago! The founder of the Twining business, Thomas Twining, first became a subscriber to our school in 1710 and every generation of the Twining family subsequently have served either as Governors or on the Foundation which owns our school.
