This Tuesday pupils at St Clement Danes School got the chance to meet Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg who arrived shortly before lunch and chatted to pupils Ena and Adam, who had many questions for him.

Standing in line waiting for lunch provided another opportunity to chat and pupils discovered that Mr Clegg's inspiration to become a politician actually came from his mother who was a school teacher. Nursery children presented him with a carefully decorated Christmas hat to wear!

Making Christmas cards by handpainting and with the use of glitter was huge fun and the school's House Captains and School Council enjoyed the session...as did Mr Clegg! Fortunately for Mr Clegg he had a suit to change in to at the office for his meeting later that afternoon as he left a lot sparklier than he arrived!
