Super SATS results

Published

Celebrations all round as we enjoy the success of super SATs results in KS1 & KS2 and a bumper year for attendance.

We are simply delighted that after a year of concerted effort we have managed to achieve 96.1% attendance.  This figure which is above the Local Authority (95.2%) and the National (95.3%) average is the result of the wonderful partnership between school and parents.

When Ofsted visited in March 2011 the only area of our report judged satisfactory was attendance.  Parents naturally wanted to do whatever they could to make sure this was rectified and such was their commitment, the improvements have been swift.  We send all our parents a massive THANK YOU!

2011-2012 also saw our greatest ever SATs results for KS2.  100% English and 100% Mathematics Level 4 and above.

Our KS1 results also improved greatly with Writing, Mathematics, and Science exceeding National averages.

We owe much of the success to our inspiring 'personalised and localised' curriculum, which pupils tell us they love!  When asked, pupils told us they enjoy having a say about what and how they learn and think visiting places of interest each term gives them so much to write about. Our creative curriculm has also had a major impact on the motivation of teachers who say that they are so excited to be teaching through linked themes, which make more sense to pupils.

Never a school to be complacent we continue to review and evaluate our provision frequently to make sure we keep up with developments and continue to grow.
