Visit to Downing Street to welcome the Olympic Torch

On a gloriously sunny day in July 30 pupils and their teachers visited Downing Street to welcome the Olympic torch to Westminster.

With a tea party in the No. 10 garden, a surprise appearance by David Beckham, a chat with The Prime Minister and a chance to see one of the Golden Torches up close this extraordinary experience became one of the highlights of what turned out to be a magical summer for London.

When pupils were asked about what made the day so special answers ranged from "cheering on the torch"  to "seeing David Beckham"... funny how most staff agreed with the latter!
