To kick start the Summer Term, this year we are taking part in The Big Pedal. This great nationwide challenge (led by the Sustainable Transport charity, Sustrans) is running until the end of this month.

Learn about how to take care of a bicycle

Learn more about the parts of a bicycle. If you have a bike, get it out, check it over and research how to care for your bike.

 

Get Peddling!

Monday 26th - Friday 30th April:

Travel part or all of your journey to school by bike or scooter. If you don't have a bike or scooter, can you walk more of your journey than you normally would?

You may spend some time on the weekend being active too. Join in as a family! Find ways you can add more activity to your daily life.

Each day (26th - 30th April) let your teacher know how you travelled to school to contribute to the join class tally. At the end of the week, we will find out which class was most active during The Big Pedal. Most importantly you will have actively taken part and helped your body and brain to start the day ready to learn and helped to look after our planet!  

To help you get ready for this challenge, we'll be finding out more about it together in school this week.
