Healthy School and Healthy Early Years
Posted on: 22/04/2021Today is Earth Day. It is a chance to think about the health of our planet and how we can look after it. Earlier in the year we also took the time to consider our place in the world through our exploration of Oliver Jeffers' book, ‘Here We Are: Notes for Living on Planet Earth’.
As a school, one of our priorities is the health and wellbeing not only of this planet but also our own bodies and minds. We are working constantly, to find ways to have a positive impact on ourselves, others and the world around us.
There are many ways to look after our health, from healthy eating, to recycling, to exercise and mindfulness. As a part of this process we are working on the Healthy Schools and Healthy Early Years programmes, in conjunction with the Health Education Partnership. Thinking about our world and the way it has changed this year, it is important to think about new ways that we can ensure the health and wellbeing of our community. We hope you will join us on this journey to have a positive impact.
Happy Earth Day!
