Year 6 perform Romeo and Juliet at St Paul’s Actors’ Church

 

This year, Year 6 had a wonderful opportunity to present Act V from Romeo and Juliet as part of the Primary Shakespeare Project. It was lights! Camera! Action! As their star quality was filmed against a rather gothic backdrop. Thanks to Father Simon, we were given full run of the church, as directors Jo and Joseph put us through our paces.

The project was a good replacement for our usual whole-school end of year show, as we decided to emphasise the needlessness of the deaths and the sorrow of those left behind.

The Balthasars, Lady Capulets, Lady Montagues, Escaleses and the apothecaries all played a big part with a strong chorus of Romeos. Well done Y6! A great end to your year.
