What a fabulous first day for Year 6! After waving our parents goodbye on Drury Lane, we headed down the motorway and into the beautiful Surrey countryside for our week of adventure at Sayers Croft.

On arrival we were greeted by our lovely instructor, Gail, and faced our first big challenge – making our own beds! (A skill we’re excited to practise more at home!)

We had a delicious lunch and then played some team building games on the big field. After a quick stop for a drink and snack, we began our orienteering task. We learned how to look for landmarks, orient a map and explored more of our surroundings. Then we had free time for the adventure playground, football on the field and games and puzzles in our dorm!

That all worked up an appetite for another yummy meal! Tummies full of apple crumble and custard, we played giant games in the hall. We’re all now safely tucked up in bed and dreaming of all our activities for tomorrow... we can’t wait to share them with you!
