As roads around St Mary Le Strand Church are being pedestrianised, lots of new trees are being planted in our local area. This week our school was invited to help bury a Time Capsule under one of these new trees! 

One of the items placed in the Time Capsule was a scroll with the words of the famous nursery rhyme, 'Oranges and Lemons'. This was written by Saaya in Year 5, on behalf us all at St Clement Danes.

One of our Y4 School Councillors had the special job of representing our school today. Along with other members of our local community including Father Peter from St Mary Le Strand Church, our Y4 School Councillor and Miss Coxhead helped to bury the capsule beneath a lovely Amelanchier tree this morning.

Perhaps someone digging up the road in a few hundred years' time might discover the capsule and the St Clement Danes treasures it contains...!?
