Book Week
Posted on: 03/03/2023
Our annual Book Week began last Thursday, when Miss Pike launched the fun-filled week with a book-themed assembly! Children arrived at school to find their classroom doors had been given a makeover....
Book Fair
During the week, a special Book Fair visited St Clement Danes each day after school for the week. Each child was given a book token. Thanks to everyone who came along to the support fair. For every book sold, school will receive funding from Scholastic to buy more books for our school library!
Sharing Stories
After the success of The Masked Reader last year, it was back again this year!
Each day of Book Week, classes have been sent a video of a Masked Reader (a mystery member of school staff) sharing a story. The classes needed to guess, from the clues in the video, the true identity of the Masked Reader.
The class that correctly guesses the most Masked Readers will win books from the book fair for their classroom book corner!
Who's behind the mask?? We will find out in assembly on Monday 6th March!
Dress-Up Day - Friday 3rd March
As a fun finale to the week and to celebrate World Book Day, today children were invited to come to school dressed as a book character. It's been brilliant to see so many fabulous costumes and such wonderful enthusiasm for BOOKS!!
