Year 4 have been doing a very exciting music project this term. Over the last couple of weeks, our children have taken part in a series of fabulous workshops at school with the jazz musician, Pete Letanka. They have been exploring jazz music, its history and the work of South African pianist and composer, Abdullah Ibrahim.

Today Year 4 spent the day at Ronnie Scott’s, the world-famous jazz venue in Soho! The children performed on the club's main stage with Pete and his brilliant band of professional jazz musicians!

Huge thanks to Pete for his wonderful teaching and musical talents which have so inspired and enthused our budding jazz musicians at St Clement Danes! We're also very grateful to Stevie and Ada for all they've done to make this project run so smoothly and for kindly hosting us today, along with the rest of the team at Ronnie's.
