The professional gymnast, Saffron Severn (Team England and Team GB), visited our school this week to encourage the children to be resilient in pursuit of their hopes and dreams.

Saffron led each class in a sponsored fitness circuit today. The children had a fantastic time and performed so well in the activities! They celebrated their success during our whole-school assembly and they had the opportunity to learn all about Saffron's inspiring journey and how she has become so successful.

Saffron’s dedication catapulted her to the summit of success, earning her the title of Junior Rhythmic Gymnastics Champion for Great Britain in 2019. Despite facing a daunting setback with a broken rib just four months prior, Saffron not only secured her slot in the 2022 Commonwealth Games, but her Team England rhythmic trio won a bronze medal at their first major multi-sport event!

Saffron's top tip is 'Never give up; there's always something exciting around the corner!' and her personal motto is, 'I am resilient, brave and strong.'
