Saint Bede and the Anglo Saxon Saints (Part 2)

Posted on: 27/03/2025

You may remember that last Summer we welcomed a special guest, Saint Bede from Anglo-Saxon England! He told us stories about the Anglo-Saxons and of the first saints of Britain who brought Christianity to this country.

Saint Bede returned to our school today, with more stories to tell us! In Assembly this morning, our Key Stage Two classes imaged they were going back in time - about 1300 years to around 700AD! We visited Saint Bede's monastery in the land of Northumbria (which is in the north of England) where we met Saint Bede and all the famous characters that he brought to life through his incredible stories about our English history!
